Dubrovnik, Montenegro & the Dalmatian Coast

Journey to one of the most popular - yet still unspoiled - destinations in Europe on this wonderful holiday. Explore Southern Croatia's beautiful coastline, discover a trio of exquisite cities in Split, Trogir and Dubrovnik, enjoy historic Mostar, and visit Montenegro - one of Europe's 'newest' and most breathtakingly beautiful countries.

Itinerary

Day One
Fly to Croatia, and upon arrival, meet your Newmarket Tour Manager and transfer to Drvenik and your hotel. The transfer time will be approximately two and a half hours. Take a stroll in this delightful resort, before dinner is served this evening.

Day Two
Vibrant Split welcomes us on today's included tour. Wander the Old Town, visit the palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian and browse the colourful marketplace. We continue to the walled, island-town of Trogir. Through a 'Land Gate', discover a time-warped jumble of palaces, ancient churches, and hidden courtyards, After exploring, we'll return to the hotel for dinner.

Day Three
Today brings the chance to relax in Dvernik and its surroundings, and the opportunity to take to the blue water on an optional cruise to the offshore islands, rounded off with a traditional 'fish-picnic' served by the friendly boatmen. Tonight's dinner will be taken at the hotel.

Day Four
Visit the stunning wildlife paradise of the River Neretva delta, before continuing to Bosnia-Herzegovina and UNESCO-listed, historic Mostar, with its lovingly-restored bridge across the river. After exploring, and perhaps visiting the 17th-century Koski Mehmed pasa Mosque, you'll travel on to your second base - close to Dubrovnik - where dinner will be served.

Day Five
Discover Dubrovnik today. Join the optional, guided tour and see the Sponza Palace, baroque St Blaise's Church, and the Franciscan Monastery - home to Europe's oldest pharmacy. View Dubrovnik and the blue Adriatic from the city walls, and spend a free afternoon sightseeing or shopping, before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day Six
Today we visit stunning Montenegro. See the Bay of Kotor - Southern Europe's largest fjord - and explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kotor itself, before heading into the mountains to Cetinje, with its monastery and Royal Palace. Finally, we'll visit pictureque Budva, before returning to Mlini in time for dinner.

Day Seven
Enjoy a final day's relaxation, perhaps returning to Dubrovnik's enthralling streets once more for some more sightseeing and shopping, or taking a dip in the clear blue waters of the Adriatic. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day Eight
We leave Croatia for the transfer to the airport (approximately 30 minutes) and the return flight, at the end of a wonderful holiday.
